  • Jannis Kounellis - Atto Unico
    €40.00

Catalogue published on the occasion of the exhibition held at the Foundation: "Jannis Kounellis - Atto Unico" (September 24, 2006 - February 11, 2007) curated by Bruno Corà.

Conceived in the form of a vast plastic organism, this great creation by Jannis Kounellis bears in its central axis a morphological concatenation resulting from a single emotional design. At the basis of this imaginary structuring is the labyrinthine spatial layout that drags everything with it into its enigmatic figure of mythical destiny.

On this system, in which the metamorphic rule supports the entire poetic tension, Kounellis traces his "fresco" in space, with a "spotted" dramaturgy that affects, together with the place and the city, the problematic current affairs of an entire history, approached with the tools of an emblematic language that does not renounce its constructive dream and the idea of a possible development of its imaginary premises. Catalogue published on the occasion of the exhibition held at the Foundation: "1961 Tempo di Continuità" (September 24 - December 19, 2014) curated by Flaminio Gualdoni.

With this exhibition, the Foundation presents the first in-depth exploration of a brief yet intense chapter that marked the early 1960s in Italy from an international perspective: the Continuità group. It was a story of exhibitions, of course—but above all, a story of friendships, encounters, and shared enthusiasm, in which a group of leading artists experienced the season preceding their full artistic maturity.

  • Tutto è felice nella vita dell'arte. Omaggio a Giovanni Carandente
    €5.00 €10.00

Catalogue published on the occasion of the exhibition held at the Foundation: "Tutto è felice nella vita dell'arte" (September 30 - December 11, 2015) curated by Luciano Caprile and Stefano Esengrini.

Paying tribute to Giovanni Carandente means, above all, paying tribute to art—and more specifically, to sculpture of the second half of the 20th century. Smith, Moore, Calder, Chillida, and Caro are just some of the artists whom Carandente insightfully interpreted over the course of five decades. In collaboration with Palazzo Collicola Arti Visive Spoleto – Carandente Museum, the exhibition aims to retrace the key stages of an adventure that began in 1962 in Spoleto, during the fifth Festival of Two Worlds, when 102 works by leading Italian and international sculptors were installed throughout the city’s streets and squares, giving rise to a groundbreaking open-air sculpture exhibition.

  • Mai contenti
    €19.00

As often happens in real life, animals dream of being other animals, in a playful and ironic circular twist.

Along with eight other titles, Mai contenti is part of the historic Libri del '45 series that Bruno Munari created after the birth of his son Alberto. These books, featuring die-cuts, holes, and large, elegant illustrations, invite readers into a playful world of discovery and exploration, keeping everyone captivated by the magic that paper can create.

This series—a timeless classic that will celebrate its 80th anniversary in 2025 since the first edition—has maintained its originality and aims to stimulate children's curiosity, showing them that inside something, there is always something else, encouraging them to explore with wonder. Many of these books were inspired by games and rituals that Munari played with his son Alberto, which he then chose to put on paper.

For the joy of all children, and not just them.

  • Fausto Gilberti. MARCEL DUCHAMP
    €13.50

Mr. Duchamp's works of art were strange and unusual. They weren't paintings and they weren't sculptures, yet they were undoubtedly art. From an artist who, laughing and joking, pushed the boundaries of art a little further.

After the books dedicated to Piero Manzoni, Yves Klein, and Jackson Pollock, the series of books grows, in which the artist Fausto Gilberti tells us, with intelligence and a playful eye, the works of great figures in contemporary art.

  • Il triangolo | Bruno Munari
    €15.00

From the plant structure of coconuts to the layout of human settlements according to Le Corbusier, the shape of the equilateral triangle appears—both in nature and in human creations—in a wide variety of contexts.

A basic geometric shape alongside the circle and the square, the equilateral triangle lends itself to modular combinations, generating structured fields in which countless other forms can be created. From classical Arab and Japanese decorative art to the contemporary architecture of Buckminster Fuller and Wright, the study of the equilateral triangle—in all its aspects and formal and structural possibilities—has led to fascinating and thought-provoking results and experiments.

    €20.00

"The travel sculptures were originally created as small pieces (some even pocket-sized) to carry around or to have a piece of one’s own culture in an anonymous hotel room. Later, they became large ‘travel’ sculptures in steel, five or six meters tall. One was exhibited for a few months in Cesenatico, others along the seafront in Naples. Still others rest among tall trees in South Tyrol." - Bruno Munari, Bruno Munari Group Exhibition

This is how Bruno Munari described his famous 'travel sculptures', which American illustrator and designer David A. Carter has reinterpreted in this pop-up book.

Carter himself describes it this way: "The book you are holding explores a particular aspect of Munari’s work: the travel sculptures. Munari was an extremely experimental artist, and I believe he created these sculptures by experimenting with paper and the many ways it can be folded. Most of these works are made of paper, like modern pop-up books, while others are made of wood, with leather inserts, and still others in metal. I hope you’ll love Bruno Munari’s travel sculptures as much as I do. And don’t forget to take this book with you on your travels."

Munari’s Travel Sculptures is a tribute to Bruno Munari’s creativity and his innovative approach to the book as a vehicle of communication—not only through text, but also through format, paper, and color.

  • KOOL. A Type Specimen
    €35.00

KOOL. A Type Specimen is an artist’s book built around KOOL (“cabbage” in Dutch), a new font designed by Reus in collaboration with Antonio de la Hera and Kia Tasbihgou. Halfway between a vegetal alphabet and concrete poetry, the KOOL font includes 26 lowercase letters, 26 uppercase letters, a full set of numbers, 16 punctuation marks, and 6 symbols. It is the result of a three-year research project by the artist, focused on the visual and calligraphic relationship between red cabbage scraps and the letters of the Latin alphabet. The book created by Reus to present the font takes inspiration from the traditional format of the type specimen book—the sample book used by type foundries to showcase the wide range of graphic possibilities, layouts, and configurations of a new typeface.
