Lost-wax casting is a technique with ancient roots; born in the Bronze Age, it reached its peak in the 16th century, as it was described by Benvenuto Cellini in ‘Trattato sopra la scultura’. Like many other contemporary sculptors, Arnaldo Pomodoro still follows this procedure to create his works. We will enter the De Andreis Artistic Foundry to understand what happens when bronze sculptures come to life.
All participants in the activity will receive a complimentary ticket to visit the exhibition Open Studio #4 | Arnaldo Pomodoro. Luoghi, memorie e visioni running at Via Vigevano 3, Milan, from October 4, 2025 to May 31, 2026.
